Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Director include academic program administration, applicant review and admission, supervision of advisors/site coordinators, student recruitment, and student support from enrollment to graduation for the MS in Operations Management (MSOM), MS in Engineering Management (MSEM) and associated graduate certificates and micro-certificates.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's or higher degree in business, industrial engineering, management-related or education related field
  • Ten years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree
  • Ability to teach MSOM or MSEM courses
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of work-related subject areas, computers, and Microsoft Office software applications including Word processing and spreadsheet skills
  • High level oral/written presentation and problem-resolution skills
  • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
  • Ability to research and analyze related work program information
  • Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, and students
  • Attention to detail regarding academic records, contracts, and publications
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands in a high-volume work setting
Additional Information

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
