The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville seek an energetic individual to provide creative and exemplary leadership for the research, teaching and extension programs in the Department of Food Science. The successful candidate will proactively lead continuing efforts to maintain and build strong, multidisciplinary research and extension programs in applied and basic research in food science and related disciplines and provide leadership in teaching programs.

Salary and Benefits :
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, twelve-month tenured appointment at the rank of Professor with a 100% effort appointment in administration. The University of Arkansas offers a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary leadership in planning, integrating, and implementing research, extension, and teaching programs in the Food Science Department. Duties will include administrative and fiscal leadership for the Department personnel, programs, and physical resources; program planning, faculty development, and pursuit of extramural funding; coordination with other university programs, professional and governmental agencies, and industry groups; and maintenance of an awareness of agriculture in Arkansas and the evolving research priorities in Food Science.
