Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings in assigned areas, following established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout Fayette Medical Center.
  • Maintain all assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas and department areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
  • Maintain all assigned ancillary areas, department areas, clinic areas and corridors with the correct preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in department policy as requested.
  • Maintain responsibility for attendance and punctuality.
  • Assist in enhancing productivity and efficient operations of the department.
  • Promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintaining professional conduct at all times.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence.
  • Perform cleaning and refinishing functions in all assigned areas and follow appropriate departmental policies and procedures as observed by supervisor.
  • Inspect and utilize judgment in determining which cleaning techniques outlined in orientation guidelines to follow.
  • Demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by supervisor. Replenish supplies in dispensers as required.
  • Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
  • Perform compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
  • Require use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
  • Adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Able to comprehend, follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to understand, follow both training and in-service education. No previous experience required
