We are recruiting a Civils Permitting & Planning Co-ordinator to join our delivery team on a full-time, on-site basis in Faversham
. This role plays a critical part in supporting our civils and telecoms projects by managing the end-to-end permitting, noticing, and planning process
. You will work closely with local authorities, internal delivery teams, planners, and subcontractors to ensure all works are legally compliant, correctly scheduled, and delivered on programme
. You will be responsible for coordinating street works permits, highway licences, and traffic management approvals, helping to keep our projects running smoothly from planning through to completion.
- Raising and managing street works permits via relevant noticing systems (e.g. Street Manager or similar)
- Submitting and managing TTRO and traffic management applications
- Monitoring permit conditions and ensuring compliance with NRSWA and HAUC requirements
- Managing permit variations, extensions, and changes
- Liaising with local authorities to resolve permit queries and challenges
- Supporting project planners to align permits with delivery programmes
- Maintaining accurate trackers, records, and supporting documentation
- Providing regular updates to internal stakeholders on permit status and risks
- Experience in civils, utilities, or telecoms permitting and planning
- Good understanding of NRSWA, street works, and highway authority processes
- Experience using Street Manager or similar permitting systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for working with councils and internal teams
- High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant planning/permitting tools
- Ability to work independently while supporting a busy delivery team
- NRSWA Supervisor or Operative accreditation is desirable but not essential.
