The company is a large progressive dairy located in Michigan that is searching for an experienced Feed Manager / Equipment Operator. The ideal candidate will have previously worked for a livestock or cropping operation, have experience running heavy equipment, a high level of mechanical aptitude, and a functional understanding of a dairy operation. This individual will play a key role in managing equipment operations, performing maintenance tasks, and assisting in daily farm and facility management.

The position involves working with heavy machinery, managing cattle feeding systems, and maintaining both equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.

• Operate heavy equipment.
• Feed cattle (grinding straw, green chopping, relief feeding).
• Manure management (pumping/transferring, V bottom hauling).
• Cropping system operations (fieldwork preparation, chisel plowing, cultivating, rolling fields, fence line clearing, land clearing, seeding).
• Harvesting tasks (preparing and covering feed storage, fill in as an operator as needed).
• Snow removal.
• Maintenance and repair (equipment oil changes, filter changes, greasing, inventory management; parlor pumping systems, take offs, pulsators, furnace; rental property minor maintenance/repairs; facility gates, fans, headlocks, free stalls, concrete, construction; shop inventory, cleaning, organization).
