Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager I – Dollar Tree Stores – Farragut, TN

We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

• Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention
• Maintain areas of the store (sales floor and stockroom) to company standards
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Ensure all associates follow safety guidelines and company policies
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet frequent walking/standing/kneeling demands
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills (required)
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment (required)
