We're looking for a hands-on part-time Finance Director to take ownership of the numbers and provide strategic leadership.

Therolewilloverseefinancialplanning,reportingandcontrols,supportingthemanagementteamwith robust insighttodrivecommercialdecision-makingandsustainablegrowth.

• Leadthepreparationofcashflowforecasts,financialforecastsandlong-termfinancialmodels
• Provideclearfinancialinsighttosupportpricing,marginmanagementandfabricstockinvestment decisions
• Monitorperformanceagainstforecastandhighlightrisksandopportunities
• Keepacloseeyeoncash,flaggingissuesearlyandsuggestingpracticalfixes

• Developannualbudgetsincollaborationwithdepartmentheads
• Supportdepartmentmanagersinunderstandingfinancialperformanceandcontrollingcosts
• Trackbudgetperformanceandprovidevarianceanalysiswithclearrecommendations

• Overseemonthlymanagementaccounts,ensuringtimelyandaccuratereporting
• Reviewandmanageaccruals,prepaymentsandjournalentries
• Ensurefinancialinformationisaccurate,compliantandfitfordecision-making

• Reviewandmanagereconciliationsacrossbank,stock,creditors,debtors
• StrengthenfinancialcontrolsandprocessesappropriateforanSMEenvironment
• Ensuredataintegrityacrossfinancesystems
• Improvefinanceprocessesandcontrolswithoutover-engineering them

• Managecashflowandworkingcapital,including stock,suppliertermsanddebtorcollections
• Provideclearvisibilityofshort-and-medium-termcashrequirements

• Actasatrustedadvisortothe Managing Directorandseniorteam
• Liaisewithexternalaccountants,auditors,banksandadvisorsasrequired
• Supportthedevelopmentofthefinancefunctionasthebusinessgrows
• Oversee compliance,establishandmaintainappropriatefinancialcontrols,approvalprocessesand internal governanceacrossthebusiness
• Ensure accurate,securefinancialdataandclearrecord keepinginlinewithgoodpracticeand

• Develop simple,practicalfinanceproceduresthatkeepthebusinesscompliantandwell-runasitgrows

• Fullyqualifiedaccountant(ACA,ACCA,CIMAorequivalent)
• Seniorfinanceexperienceinan
  
  SMEenvironment(retailormulti-siteexperiencedesirable)
• Strongexperienceinforecasting,budgeting,accrualsandbalancesheetcontrol
• Commercialmindsetwiththeabilitytotranslatenumbersintopracticalinsight
