Overview
Part-Time Sales Teammate at The Buckle, Inc. The role involves fulfilling the mission: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks as assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).
Responsibilities- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs.
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and share education with the Team; stay informed about current sales, promotions, and policies.
- Maintain and share knowledge of sales goals and security practices; achieve personal sales goals and contribute to store targets.
- Provide service across key areas:
Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area. - Assist Guests with trying on or fitting merchandise and processing purchases, returns and exchanges.
- Prepare merchandise for alterations and place Special Orders or call other stores to locate items.
- Build guest relationships to develop a client-based business; maintain knowledge of Buckle’s customer service expectations.
- Adhere to the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) and perform leadership actions as appropriate—even when a Manager is not present.
- Identify recruiting opportunities and leverage available channels (e.g., referrals, loyalty programs).
- Foster professional, respectful attitudes to create a positive floor culture.
- Present merchandise to maximize sales and ensure optimal turnover.
- Stay current on product range and work with teammates and guests on product improvements and new ideas.
- Keep sales floor properly sized and displays updated with new freight.
- Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends, as needed by the store.
- Open/close cash registers, balance drawers, and manage deposits; handle payments and security considerations per policy.
- Follow Loss Prevention guidelines and POS procedures; perform merchandising tasks and maintain a clean, organized store.
- Provide feedback to Management and communicate concerns promptly and confidentially.
- Understand and apply Buckle’s Code of Ethics and all policies and handbooks.
- Perform Special projects and other duties as assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical DemandsThe role requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and the ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs; vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
