Job Description
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet, engage, and assist customers visibly and actively.
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Understand the POS system and handle various tenders according to company policy.
- Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report discrepancies.
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
- Stay current with ads and promotions.
- Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
- Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
- Comply with laws and company guidelines.
- Work effectively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, act with integrity, and follow directions.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Customer service experience
- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
