The maintenance department is responsible for maintaining all building and equipment; will be working on construction projects, electrical and mechanical welding.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain basic needs of all equipment
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Pipe fitting and pipe threading
- Perform DOT safety inspections of trailers
- Train to operate forklift and manlift
- Care for and secure tools
- Welding (arc, stick and wire)
- Troubleshooting equipment problems
- Heating and AC repairs
Crane inspections - Mentor entry level and PM maintenance employees
- Frequently be able to:
- Lift 40 lbs. from floor to waist (bending/swatting)
- Lift 50 lbs.
- Lift, carrying, pushing and/or pulling 50 lbs.
- Bend 20+ times or more per day
- Maneuver up and down ladders with ease
- Walk the length of the yard several times
- Stand for long periods of time
- Experience in mechanical and electrical
- Experience in maintenance work
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Need to have basic Math skills (may be tested before hiring)
- Must work effectively and efficiently
- Have a willingness and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Have a good attendance record
- Have basic knowledge of hand tools
- Be able to work independently or as a team
- Follow safety policies and practices
- Must be able to carry and use two-way radio
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must have reasonable means of contacting employee
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer knowledge
- Valid NM driver’s license
Hours:
Days: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, M-F with occasional Weekends, Inside/Outside in extreme weather and temperatures.
