Flooring Estimator​/Measurer

Summary

The primary purpose of the Estimator is to assist the Manager in overseeing the company's measures and ensuring quotes and estimates are accurate. The secondary purpose is to fill in for the Warehouse Manager when they are absent. The third primary purpose is to help customers on the sales floor when needed.

Experience in construction and/or flooring installations is preferred. Trained on forklifts preferred. Training is provided on software programs, flooring product knowledge, and forklifts if needed.

• Use a tablet and a laser measuring device to measure all clients' flooring project areas.
• Communicate with sales staff on findings of scheduled measures.
• Review quotes with sales staff, ensuring all labor and materials are included.
• Inspect subfloor and installed flooring issues.
• Assist clients in the showroom when needed.
• In the Warehouse Manager's absence, follow warehouse procedures to assist with unloading delivery trucks, and assist clients with material pick-ups.
• Assist with yearly inventory counts.
• Meet with the supervisor weekly.
• Attend employee meetings.

• Once employment is established for 60 days, the employee is eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance through the company.
• On 1 year anniversary, the employee is eligible for 5 days of Paid Time Off.
• Up to 64 hours of sick pay in a full year. Eligibility dependent on time worked.
• All major holidays scheduled off.
