About Us

Durango Machining Innovations is a locally owned-operated machine shop serving regional and international customers, specialize in high-tolerance precision mill-turn machining of production jobs. We manage individual parts and assemblies, as well as jobs requiring additional vendors such as plating/anodizing, laser engraving, powder coating, sheet-metal, and plastic molding. We provide full in-house quality control, including CMM and first article inspection.

Job Summary

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for supporting material preparation and finishing operations. This role involves handling customer inventory, operating industrial equipment, and assisting with inventory management to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes. This role requires attention to detail, basic troubleshooting skills, and adherence to safety and procedural guidelines.

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities
  • Organize and stage customer inventory according to job requirements.
  • Load and unload materials, parts, and components safely.
  • Prepare materials for machining and finishing processes.
  • Assist with equipment operation as needed.
  • Inspect and handle finished parts and prepare them for storage or shipment.
  • Help maintain inventory accuracy and material labeling.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all safety rules and support production needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or work instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail and quality standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a noisy, industrial setting.
