Maintenance Coordinator

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains and complies with total quality controls according to USDA standards relating to inspection, grading, sorting, handling, and shipments that ensure NAPI’s concerns on food safety.
• Complies with maintenance policies and procedures.
• Properly and safely prepares work area.
• Examines equipment, systems, or machines and analyzes information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
• Performs complete tear down and overhaul on various types of packaging and farm implements and equipment.
• Performs complete inspection on various types of packaging and farm equipment and implements and conveyor systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment and machines and farm equipment and implements.
• Conducts initial inspection on packing facility, packaging equipment and machines and farm equipment and implements.
• Sanitizes ventilation pipes, storage buildings and other potato handling and farm implements and equipment.
• Compiles operational records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.
• Maintains tool and part inventories and monitors the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
• Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
• Conducts or arranges for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
• Confers with the Crop Foreman and the Crop Manager regarding personnel actions to be taken.
• Assists in storage and trans-load operation during peak season in sorts, maintenance or repairs, and operation handling and farm implements and equipment.

• Provides information, guidance and resources to diverse groups of customers, clients and others outside of the organization; treats them in a friendly manner with professionalism, helpfulness, respect, courtesy and consideration at all times regardless of circumstances.
• Maintains regular, dependable attendance and punctuality, and physical presence at the assigned worksite; must interact directly with people or objects at the worksite on a regular basis. Communications technology may, for certain tasks and under certain circumstances, enable an employee to effectively perform some of the work-related duties from home on a temporary basis.
• Complies with all applicable environmental health and safety policies, procedures and work rules, giving maximum effort to performing job functions in a manner that protects the health and safety of the incumbent, co-workers, and the general public.
• Performs other duties as assigned and which are deemed necessary or desirable by NAPI.
