HVAC Technician Instructor

Position: HVAC Instructor (Full-Time) Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods; develop materials as directed by the President
• Maintain daily lesson plans and instructional records
• Monitor and document student attendance and retention
• Grade assignments, return feedback promptly, and assign final grades in a timely manner
• Provide academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment
• Substitute for classes when necessary
• Advise students on academic progress, school policies, and satisfactory performance
• Communicate student-related matters with the Dean of Education
• Submit textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing to the Dean of Education
• Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies in secured facilities
• Obtain consumable supplies and instructional materials as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Participate in faculty development to meet accreditation standards
• Ensure students comply with catalog guidelines
• Attend all mandatory meetings
• Serve on committees as assigned (e.g., curriculum development, retention)
• Perform other duties as required

• Status:
  Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
• Starting Salary: $68,640 – $72,800 annually (DOE)

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC field experience (Required)
• HVAC certification preferred
• Prior instructional experience strongly preferred
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Farmington, NM

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• HVAC/R experience: 2 years (Required)
