Position: Facilities Coordinator (57007)

Overview

Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator supports daily facilities operations by coordinating construction activities and assisting the maintenance team with repair and maintenance items across the organization’s footprint. The role works closely with maintenance staff and external contractors to oversee work orders, address facility needs, and ensure buildings and systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. The position combines on site coordination with administrative and reporting responsibilities to support facility readiness and effective project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Management
  • Assist the maintenance team with work orders and ensure timely resolution of facility needs.
  • Develop and support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system issues and ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity.
  • Value alignment
  • Professionalism in delivering consistent high quality maintenance support.
  • Accountability for keeping equipment and systems safe and functional.
  • Initiative in identifying issues early and improving maintenance processes.
  • Resilience when addressing urgent or complex facility problems.
  • Construction Oversight
  • Plan, coordinate and support construction or renovation projects across locations.
  • Review blueprints and plans for compliance with codes and standards.
  • Work with architects, engineers and contractors to keep projects on schedule.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines and quality expectations.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure safety protocols are followed.

  • Courage in enforcing safety standards and addressing issues with contractors.
  • Adaptability when navigating shifting project timelines and scope changes.

  • Prepare facility reports, budgets and project documentation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts when needed.
  • Ensure all facilities activities meet local, state and federal regulations.

  • Service by supporting teams with reliable facility operations.
  • Accountability in maintaining compliance and vendor oversight.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or certification in Construction or Facilities Management or equivalent experience.
  • Background in construction, renovation or facilities maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components.
  • Experience using computer systems for work orders, scheduling or reporting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
