BJC Health Care System is hiring a Full-Time EKG Tech for Parkland Heart Health Center (1155 Hazel Lane, Farmington, MO).

• Responsibilities: preparing patients for Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing, EKG interpretations, maintaining the EKG system
• Working alongside Nuclear Medicine technologists.
• Proficiency in recognizing EKG changes while the patient is being stressed
• Location is near - Doe Run, MO – Park Hills, MO – Sainte Genevieve, MO – Bonne Terre, MO - Desoto, MO - Washington County, St. Francis County, Iron County, Madison County, Jefferson County

• Cardiopulmonary Stress lab
• Treadmill stress tests

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

• Cardiac Monitor Technician, Telemetry Technician, Cardiovascular Technician, ECG Technician, Stress Test Technician

Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study.

Performs a variety of procedures in cardiology including preparing patients for stress testing, EKGs, transcribing EKG interpretations, maintaining the EKG management system, Holter monitor hookups and disconnects, Holter checks, patient care and assessments in cardiopulmonary rehab, and assisting the cardiologists as necessary.

• Performs general office duties.
• Performs cardiology tests and procedures.
• Ensures all equipment is cleaned, stocked, available, and kept in working order.
• Supports and demonstrates the continuous improvements of quality and service.
• Ensures charges are entered correctly and timely.
