Amergis is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in Farmington, MO. This role focuses on supporting students with higher needs—primarily those in self-contained and MAP-A classrooms. While most students receiving services are in elementary grades (K–6), you will also support a small number of middle and high school students.
Working closely under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, you’ll help implement individualized treatment plans and provide hands-on support that promotes independence, academic success, and meaningful participation in the school environment.
What You’ll Do- Provide school-based OT services following OT-developed treatment plans.
- Support students with significant needs directly in their classroom environments.
- Collaborate with OTs, teachers, and school staff to ensure cohesive, student-focused care.
- Manage an assigned caseload (final details established after OT handoff meeting).
- Active Missouri COTA license required.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Comfortable working across multiple campuses as needed.
- Enjoys supporting middle and high school students with special needs.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Able to commit to the full school year.
- Available for a 40-hour workweek.
- No evaluation or testing responsibilities.
- Join a supportive, collaborative therapy team with experienced OTs.
