Additional Information About the Role General Cardiologist is needed for growing cardiac service line with BJC Medical Group based at Parkland Health Center located in Farmington, MO, just over an hour from St. Louis. Join 2 successful Interventional Cardiologists, 1 Invasive Cardiologist and 2 Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers with a large referral base.

• Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care for physician’s patients, including hospital rounds or coverage with hospitalists or other qualified physicians, in line with Medical Staff requirements.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations and any other BJC clinical outreach locations.
• Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
• Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws and BJC policies.
• Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers and care team members involved in the patient panel.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
