Overview
Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center has an opening for a Psychiatrist. Our facility consists of an Adult Psychiatric Services unit, which treats primarily Forensic clients as adjudicated by the criminal court, and the Sex Offender Rehabilitation and Treatment Services unit, which treat patients adjudicated as Sexually Violent Predators. Both units have specialized programs serving subpopulations of each group. Depending on your interests, teaching (through our affiliations with two nearby medical schools), administrative duties, and participation in program development/evaluation can be included in your duties.
Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric care within the Adult Psychiatric Services unit and the Sex Offender Rehabilitation and Treatment Services unit, with opportunities to engage in teaching, administration, and program development/evaluation as appropriate.
- Collaborate with a committed, energetic and diverse medical staff to support facility culture and patient care.
- Full and unrestricted Missouri license required.
- Forensic psychiatry training or experience preferred.
