To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.

• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategies, and training techniques.
• Excellent communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with young athletes and parents.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes.
• Build positive relationships, motivate players, develop discipline, and support academic/athletic goals, bridging development for the varsity team.

• Valid CHRC

Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Mt. Blue District Schools' Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.

Has knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations.

The coach must be at least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.

Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred as well as knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

Flexible after school hours required for scheduled games both home and away.

Travel to home and away games with team using school transportation.

Director of Athletics / Head Baseball Coach.

As determined annually by the District.

Completed annually by Director of Athletics.

Exempt/Non-exempt.
