Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Hospital Medicine
Maine Health Franklin Hospital, Farmington, ME. Full‑time day/evening shifts (40 hrs/week). 10‑hour shifts, daytime 7 am–5 pm with potential swing shifts 9 am–7 pm. Part‑time and full‑time opportunities, including weekend and holiday shifts. New grads are welcome.
The APP evaluates and treats patients primarily on the hospital medicine ward, completes admissions, and provides consultative services to various sub‑specialties, including the emergency department. The APP works collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, care management, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient care and participates in quality initiative programs within hospital medicine.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to triage, organize, and prioritize effectively.
- Team‑player with strong collaborative skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborative, team‑based patient care environment.
- Well‑appointed 25‑bed critical access hospital within a leading health system.
