Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced leader, a Foreman to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the installation of complex heating and cooling systems for commercial buildings. You will be working on and managing our project sites that include, but not limited to hot water heating systems, steam heating systems, chilled water systems, natural gas piping, roof top units, boiler, pumps and heat exchangers.

You are a licensed Pipefitter with a commitment to quality in all the work you do. A team player who is comfortable working together with employees from Modern to other trades and managing materials, the job site and communication with GC's/CM's. A positive attitude is a must!

Responsibilities
  • Professionally interact with customers, other trades and clearly communicate work orders and statuses.
  • Communicate with GC's/CM's daily including job specific forms and safety items and Project Manager.
  • Manage job site material, orders, employee tasks, forms, etc.
  • Plan the layout of HVAC piping, using drawings.
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, components such as cabinet unit heaters or air handlers using hand or power tools.
  • Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems.
Qualifications
  • Valid CT HVAC License S-1, S-2.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/Hydronic systems.
  • Vast knowledge of Mechanical Codes.
