About

The Role

The HP Tech 1 Welder is responsible for welding, assembling, cleaning, and inspecting high‑purity and industrial components in a controlled clean‑room environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to learn multiple processes, and adherence to strict quality and cleanliness standards.

Location: Farmington, CT

Shift: 3rd Shift

Department: High Purity Production

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld solid and porous metal products to specification
  • Assemble components and prepare parts for welding
  • Clean all solid subassemblies prior to welding
  • Brush oxidation from welds after welding operations
  • Perform leak testing and required quality inspections
  • Shear and form solid and porous metals to specification
  • Pin‑mark information on hardware as needed
  • Maintain qualification to Mott MES welding specifications
  • Uphold clean‑room standards and follow all QMS procedures
  • Properly clean, handle, and prepare components
Major Challenges
  • Learning multiple processes and operating a variety of equipment
  • Maintaining strict adherence to high‑purity cleanliness requirements
Required Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in TIG welding
  • Experience with TIG welding equipment is strongly beneficial
Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • TIG Welding proficiency
  • Blueprint reading and comprehension
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use inspection tools

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $37,500.00 - $56,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
