Work where every moment matters. Every day, more than 40,000 Hartford Health Care colleagues come to work with one thing in common:
Pride in what we do, knowing every moment matters here. We invite you to become part of Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network.

The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.

With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.

Hartford Health Care’s Ancillary Application Team is expanding to meet growing organizational demand and support strategic IT initiatives. We are seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative Application Analyst to support, enhance, and help implement clinical and business applications across the enterprise. This role plays a key part in delivering scalable technology solutions used across hospitals, institutes, and specialty care areas.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, an understanding of technical infrastructure, and experience supporting healthcare applications. This position offers opportunities to work on high‑impact projects—including modern platform upgrades, enterprise migrations, and cross‑functional initiatives—while contributing to continuous improvement across the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, test, implement, and support clinical and business applications within HHC’s Ancillary Application portfolio.
  • Manage or assist with projects from design through implementation, including requirements gathering, build, testing, and go‑live support.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, business partners, IT teams, project managers, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of application solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, testing scripts, and system configuration materials.
  • Troubleshoot application and technical issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation, scheduled maintenance windows, and occasional after‑hours support for project work.
  • Build strong customer relationships and represent operational needs in system design.

Support modernization efforts, including Windows 11 upgrades, cloud migrations, and legacy system transitions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and healthcare/IT experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting clinical or business applications.
  • Preferred:
Experience in healthcare information systems or as a Clinical Technologist with application expertise.
  • Preferred experience in applications like Cadwell Arc, Ascom, Airstrip, Muse, Provation, Cuddles, Periwatch, and many more.
  • Strong project coordination, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical users.
Technical Competencies
  • Familiarity with IT policies and support processes (change control, incident management, on‑call procedures, project intake, downtime governance).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise support tools such as Active Directory, SCCM, VPN, Microsoft Teams, Service Now, Citrix, Bomgar, Secure Link, Solar Winds and others.
  • Basic understanding of server environments, hardware/software concepts, and network components.
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi‑tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Comfort presenting, training, and communicating with diverse user groups.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.

We take great care of careers. With locations around the state, Hartford Health Care offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth. Here, you are part of an organization on the cutting edge – helping to bring new technologies, breakthrough treatments and community education to countless men, women and children.
