Human Resources Assistant I

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office (On-site Position)

Working closely with the Human Resources Department and the Detroit Office management teams to provide positive HR customer service for the Detroit Office.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of new hire paperwork and personnel files, including processing all security badges.
• Supports new hire coordination including scheduling orientation and occasional facilitation.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate HR records including personnel, benefits files as well as training records.
• Support CIA programs and ensures data entries are processed in the system in a timely basis.
• Supports Wellness, Safety, and Social committees. Assists with planning and developing activities such as monthly engagement events, company picnic, holiday luncheon, wellness events, etc.
• Support on-site activities by scheduling meeting rooms, greeting visitors, ordering meals as necessary. Arranging for guest wi-fi access and security badges as necessary.
• Maintains and orders supplies for the department; to include service awards and bereavement sympathy gift.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associates Degree with 1-3 years of professional experience. (Direct HR experience preferred.)
• Team-oriented person with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with ADP/HRIS database is a plus.
