Job Summary
This is a 12‑month contract position for a Technical Support Representative who will work on‑site in Farmington Hills, MI. The role pays $18–$20 per hour and requires hands‑on automotive troubleshooting, knowledge of vehicle networks and software systems, and preferred ASE certifications.
Responsibilities- Provide initial responses to dealers, acknowledging issues and delivering solutions via phone, e‑mail, or the Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) system.
- Handle inquiries from dealers and technicians, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
- Administer all open requests, manage escalations, and close tickets in compliance with company policies.
- Review and validate Technical Service Requests (TSRs), including historical data and client system information.
- Document and maintain contact records, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference.
- Train dealer technicians on best practices for software updates and module integration.
- Stay up to date with new vehicle technologies, software releases, and diagnostic tools.
- Use remote diagnostic tools to analyze and address advanced vehicle system faults.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certification in Electrical, Gasoline Engines, Diesel Engines, and L2 preferred.
- Experience with automotive hardware, software, and network protocols (e.g., CAN, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, repair manuals, and using diagnostic tools such as scan tools, multi‑meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and cloud‑based diagnostic platforms.
- Programming, ETL, Cloud, Classification, Alation, Scala, Compliance, Debugging, Deployment, Jira, Databases.
- Vehicle networks and protocols (CAN, DTCs, live data, PIDs).
- Electrical/Electronics fundamentals.
Location:
Farmington Hills, MI – On‑site, in‑person work required.
$18–$20 per hour (contract). Eligible for performance‑based bonuses and company benefits subject to policies.
