Shift: Full Time – 40 Hours – Day Shift, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Location: Providence Farmington Hills – 30055 Northwestern Highway, Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Must be willing to travel to all 3 locations – Farmington Hills (main), Novi, and Livonia.

Assists with examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with treatments ordered by provider and supervised by provider or registered nurse.
• Performing select clinical duties.
• Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients’ charts.
• Preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performing basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performing basic materials management functions including ordering and stocking supplies.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Documenting the provider’s encounter with patients, including listing diagnoses and symptoms, follow‑up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated by the provider.
• Transcribing patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.

Certification / Licences

Required:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant certification obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted.

• High school diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
