Company and program context

Power Solutions (PS) has the ambition to shape the path toward a carbon-neutral society. The Financial Analyst role within the Rotational Development Program will work with the Regional Business Unit (RBU) Controller to help ensure regional cost and profitability targets are met for the North American region. The RDP professional will gain operational experience in plant controlling within one PS manufacturing location and rotate cross-functionally within a 24-month program.

tasks
  • Overall, you’ll be immersed in the world of finance, controlling and commercial topics within Bosch, learning about budgets, financial statements, other KPI’s and all the tools used to steer the business.
  • Financial Analyst Role (RBU Controller):
    Work with colleagues across departments, build relationships, and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide strategic financial direction, analyze financial data, identify trends, and uncover insights to support decision-making. Lead month-end closing analysis, forecasting and budgeting for the business unit. Analyze and forecast R&D costs for the RBU and present monthly & quarterly results to local and BU management in Germany.

    Collaborate with North American plants on understanding monthly results, forecasting, and supporting the achievement of the business plan measures.
  • Plant Controlling / Cross-Functional Rotation:
    Identify cost-saving opportunities with Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations; support design-to-cost and value engineering initiatives. Provide cost estimates for new products, design changes, and production scenarios; partner with project teams during product development to meet cost targets. Benchmark products and components for competitiveness and harmonize calculations with global controlling teams. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes related to product costs;

    analyze cost deviations versus budget/forecast and drive corrective actions. Develop and maintain detailed product cost calculations (BOM, labor, overhead, tooling). Prepare cost-related reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management to increase cost transparency and support strategic decisions. Cross-functional rotation in logistics or related disciplines to broaden commercial knowledge within a value stream.
Your profile
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Growth Mindset.
  • Geographic flexibility is required for Rotational Development Program rotations within the United States and potential international assignments.
  • Preferred Qualifications: SAP and automation software experience (Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, Power

    BI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and accounting procedures and understanding how other departments impact the company’s financials.
  • Hyperion Financial Management;
    Essbase & BI tools knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex issues, summarize, and provide accurate advice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (written and oral).
  • Self-motivation, proactive and resourceful with high attention to detail.
