Mechanical Design Engineer

• Support and mange the mechanical design during the design phase.
• Mechanical design & documentation for new production launches and existing Myotek products
• Run CATIA or NX CAD for Electromechanical packaging and Class A Surface Modeling
• Component and assembly level modeling
• DFM – design for manufacturing for injection molding, die-casting, assembly
• 2D prints with GD&T, revision control & BOM management

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in design for Plastic Molding and DFM
• Proficient in NX and/or Catia V5
• Minimum 3 years experience designing with automotive optical layouts.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and technical presentations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage program timelines
• Must be proficient in Project, Word, Excel, Power Point
• General understanding of "Design for Manufacturing" & "Design for 6 Sigma"
• Knowledge of GD&T, Tooling and Gauge/Fixture requirements
• General knowledge of Team Center or PDM software
• Detail oriented, hard worker with the ability to work effectively in a fast past environment with minimal supervision
