Job OverviewTetra Tech is seeking a mid to senior level air quality engineer or scientist to join our Air Compliance team based in Farmington Hills, MI or the greater Michigan area.

Your ImpactYou will contribute to our leadership in air compliance, providing strategic planning, regulatory support, and fostering client relationships. Your skills will help achieve regulatory closures and develop innovative, client-centered solutions for a sustainable future.
Your Role- Collaborate with industrial and government clients to address environmental challenges and ensure compliance.
- Manage and develop a team of technical specialists.
- Prepare and submit air permit applications and compliance reports.
- Develop and review air emission inventories and greenhouse gas reports.
- Guide junior staff and oversee regulatory reviews.
- Advise clients on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Support business growth through proposals, industry events, and networking.
- Supervise team members, fostering growth and performance.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or environmental science.
- 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in project management and client-facing roles.
- Strong communication skills.
- Technical expertise in air quality permits and emissions calculations.
- Experience with carbon accounting, renewable fuels, or sustainability is a plus.
- Leadership skills and ability to mentor staff.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel and work outdoors as needed.
This position requires work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available.
