Technical Support Team Service Engineer

Position Overview

In-person position requiring approximately 25% travel (domestic and international on short notice).

Summary: Supporting WTC intelligent Resistance Welding products in the field and office.

• Represent WTC as a technical expert of intelligent resistance welding.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical product/process support to WTC customers.
• Energetically train customers and internal team members.
• Write service reports for customers and generate product improvements.
• Assist in software validations. virt>
• Continuously improve knowledge and expertise of themselves and team members.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical problem solving intuitive techniques.
• Self‑motivated.
• Technical telephone disappear, video conference, and e‑mail support experience with customers.
• Basic knowledge of resistance welding process and systems.
• Experience with resistance welding and setting up a weld system.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Pro‑active and able to work well within a team.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Technical training of customers or internal team members.
• Preferred – Robot control and PLC programming and set up of Ethernet networking systems.
• Preferred – Hands‑on experience with WTC weld controls and products.

• Bachelor of Science in any technical field.
• Bachelor of Science in Welding or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• At least 1 year’s experience; hands‑on experience may be considered in lieu of collega
