Trade Compliance Specialist – Export Control
Provide authoritative guidance on national and international regulations, including ITAR and EAR, ensuring Bosch’s compliance. Develop global standards and guidelines in U.S. export controls law in collaboration with international colleagues.

• Manage global risk, develop minimum standards for jurisdiction, classification, technology controls, military business, and regulatory tracking.
• Monitor legal developments (Executive Orders, EAR, ITAR) and assess impact on Bosch Group worldwide; support definition of appropriate measures and process requirements.
• Design and advance the U.S. export control process landscape for the Bosch Group, including reporting systems and implementation of new requirements.
• Conduct export audits/health checks and analyze risk indicators in export controls.
• Act as contact for business units and central departments, and authorities.

• 8+ years of Export Controls experience and a bachelor’s degree, with proven knowledge of U.S. EAR and ITAR.
• 1+ year of proven ability to influence and motivate people.
• In‑depth knowledge of U.S. export control laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Internal audit skills.
• Continuous learner; stays abreast of research.
• Effective coordination and collaboration with groups.

• Demonstrated ability to act independently and make decisions in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Ability to identify issues, resolve inquiries, and develop solutions quickly and independently.
• Knowledge of sanctions and export control laws in the EU and UN.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience in the automotive industry with understanding of export compliance related to software and technology.
