Software Engineer Lead - Angular​/Java Development

As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's C/IB MIS DIGITAL organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.

Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Oversee the architecture and design of software solutions, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
• Ensure high‑quality code through code reviews and adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team.
• Contribute to the solutions go‑to‑market, prioritize development efforts, shape solution direction, and drive new trends.
• Manage ambiguity, work independently, and solve problems across different functional teams.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Facilitate complex problem resolution.
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs, preparing technical and procedural documentation required.
• Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

• Hands‑on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot and other Spring Frameworks, Mongo
  
  DB and microservice application development.
• Expertise in core Java, asynchronous and reactive programming.
• Writing disciplined, well‑typed, efficient, testable, and maintainable code that gives other programmers complete control over the development process.
• Track record of delivering quality products.
• Passion for learning new technologies and developing skills.
• Knack for getting things done, whether independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills.

• Knowledge in Docker and Open Shift.
• Knowledge in build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Knowledge in enterprise CI/CD.
• Knowledge in Agile Practice.
• Passion for exploring diverse fields such as Machine Learning, AI and microservice architecture.
