We are recruiting an Executive Director, Coding and Education, to oversee the team reviewing and coding diagnoses from in-home assessments, ensuring quality documentation and clinical consistency. Responsibilities include developing strategies for coding processes, guiding CDI Specialists and Coders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant coding standards and regulations. The role requires collaboration with physicians, leadership, and various departments, reporting to the SVP, Risk Adjustment.
Responsibilities include:- Managing hiring, training, and supervision of CDI, Coding, and Education staff.
- Strategic planning to meet organizational goals and client deliverables.
- Establishing quality and productivity targets, and developing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitoring department metrics and reporting to senior management.
- Ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines, ICD-10 standards, and organizational policies.
- Reviewing physician assessments for coding accuracy and compliance.
- Managing vendor relationships and service level agreements.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes.
- Utilizing financial data for decision-making and participating in budget planning.
- 10+ years of management experience in a clinical setting, with expertise in CDI, Coding, and Education teams.
- Proficiency in CMS risk adjustment coding and RADV standards.
- Coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC in good standing.
- ICD-10 proficiency and educational background in Nursing, Business, or Health Information Management.
- CRC certification required.
The typical pay range is $ - $, depending on experience, education, and location. The position is eligible for bonuses, incentives, and equity awards.
