Job DescriptionThe MEI Technician supports the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing facilities and equipment. This role focuses on Mechanical, Electrical, and Infrastructure (MEI) systems that enable stable fab operations-including HVAC, compressed gases, ultrapure water, process cooling, vacuum systems, and cleanroom mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Facilities Equipment Installation and Construction Engineer to plan and manage the construction of critical facility infrastructure, including clean rooms, process utilities, and high-purity systems.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and upgrades of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and integration with facility systems.
- Support the operation of utility systems such as CDA/N2/Ar, vacuum pumps, waste treatment systems, and ultrapure water systems.
- Coordinate EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor industry standards for equipment installation, vibration control, and contamination management.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Execute repairs and support root‑cause analysis.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Follow EHS procedures including LOTO, chemical handling, and cleanroom protocols.
