Print Operator - Weekends and; optional Evenings

Hey there! A small but mighty team today, Blanka is a Canadian founded, but US-based venture-backed tech company disrupting the e-commerce space. Using our platform, we help entrepreneurs launch their own branded beauty line in a matter of minutes. We’re scaling our operations and seeking a Part-Time Print Operator to join our print and operations team. This role will primarily operate independently with mainly weekend shifts and the option to work most evenings during the week.

This contract (1099) position will be in person at our production studio and warehouse in Farmers Branch, Texas.

We are looking for an eager, detail-oriented digital guru with print experience to join our amazing company. You will be part of a growing production team that produces our stunning custom-branded products in-house. As a print operator with a good understanding of graphic design, you will operate our commercial printers to produce high quality products, under the guidance of our Chief Marketing Officer and our Lead Print Operator.

The main objective of this role is to efficiently and accurately produce custom-branded products with our state-of-the-art printers, carefully following prescribed procedures and processes. • You will maintain the highest level of quality in your work from digital to print and in between
• You will execute in-house print production orders to make sure they are on schedule and up to our high-quality standards
• You will carefully process print orders, keep detailed records, and troubleshoot files, systems, and equipment as needed
• You will execute routine printer cleaning and maintenance during your shifts
• You will learn to find efficiencies in our production processes
• You will apply knowledge and experience to process technically difficult files or issues during the printing process and help troubleshoot those to find effective solutions

• You have commercial digital printing experience, understanding how to maintain an efficient production schedule
• You have a keen eye for visual design with exceptional attention to detail
• You are very responsible to carefully inspect and evaluate the quality of printed products before delivery ensuring quality assurance is held to the highest standards
• You are experienced in the key programs within the Adobe Creative Suite with a minimum of InDesign and Illustrator
• You have the ability to work both independently with guidance from your manager and collaboratively with teams as needed
• You are never satisfied with the status quo because you have insanely high standards
• You have the ability to take feedback, and action necessary changes quickly and effectively
• You have excellent time management and planning skills
• You are an early adopter of tools and technologies that enable you to create best-in-class content
• You are familiar with e-commerce
• You are fluent in both spoken and written English

• Printing: 1 year (required)
• Graphic design: 1 year (required)

• + option for evening shifts, from 5pm - 10pm, 3-5 evenings per week

• $18-$20 USD/hour, depending on relevant education and experience.
