Senior Demand Planner – Varsity Brands

Work Type: Hybrid – Fridays WFH; M-F, 8a‑5p or 9a‑6p
Location: 14460 Varsity Brands Way, Farmers Branch, TX 75244
Work Hours: Hybrid with Fridays WFH – M-F, 8a‑5p or 9a‑6p
Relocation: Varsity Brands does not offer relocation assistance for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside within a commutable distance of Farmers Branch, TX or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

How You Will Make An Impact

The Senior Demand Planner leads demand planning for assigned product categories, combining advanced statistical forecasting with cross‑functional collaboration to drive high‑quality, consensus demand plans. The role owns forecast accuracy and plays a critical part in S&OP and key business decisions related to inventory, service, and financial performance. The Senior Demand Planner sets planning standards, navigates ambiguity, and elevates demand planning capability across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end demand planning process for assigned categories, with accountability for forecast quality and business alignment.
  • Develop and maintain 18‑month statistical forecasts, incorporating scenario planning and risk assessments to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Evaluate demand signals, assumptions, and outputs to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive cross‑functional consensus by partnering with sales, merchandising, marketing, finance, strategic planning, and supply chain leadership.
  • Lead Demand Review meetings, proactively resolving gaps between demand, financial targets, and supply constraints.
  • Establish, document, and continuously improve forecast assumptions, methodologies, and planning standards.
  • Perform gap and variance analysis; translate insights into clear recommendations and executive‑ready narratives.
  • Make key contributions to strategic supply chain initiatives, occasionally leading discrete efforts that improve planning maturity, tools, and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for demand planning by mentoring planners, reviewing forecasts, and elevating team capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in consensus demand planning concepts, statistical forecasting models, and planning best practices.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance service, inventory, and financial tradeoffs.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage complexity, and drive alignment across functions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of improving forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive demand planning experience across multiple products, channels, or business models.
  • Demonstrated leadership in S&OP and Demand Review processes.
  • Experience with demand planning systems (Anaplan) and ERPs preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently own complex forecasts and influence business decisions.
