Hours: Full Time (08:30 - 15:30)

Salary: £85 - £95 per day

An innovative and friendly specialist school located in Abingdon are seeking a proactive and excitable Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as next week! The pupils in this school have Autism, ADHD, cognitive difficulties, speech and language needs, behaviour challenges and moderate learning needs. They therefore need a Learning Support Assistant who can help to enhance their learning and social skills, as well as their emotional well being.

• Based in the classroom, provide 1-2-1 support for pupils.
• Guide small group activities and help increase interpersonal skills, communication and everyday life skills.
• Provide support to the class teacher and help make the classroom a fun and exciting learning environment.

• Previous experience working with children and/or adults with learning disabilities in a professional capacity or from personal experience.
• A degree in a relevant field would be desirable, such as Psychology, Sociology or Criminology, or a Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• The school is looking for someone who is self-motivated, resilient and nurturing.
