The position offers a supportive, team‑oriented environment for practicing high‑quality medicine in a vibrant community.
PracticeHeartland Animal Hospital has been providing quality veterinary care for dogs and cats in Faribault and surrounding communities for more than 25 years. The facility offers a broad range of medical and surgical services, including routine wellness, dentistry, advanced surgery, diagnostic imaging (digital radiography, ultrasound), and an in‑house laboratory.

- Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing disease or injury.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel regarding pet end‑of‑life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance for over 25 pounds.
