Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Brake Press Operator to support a manufacturing operation producing metal components used in electrical equipment. In this role, you will operate press brake machinery to bend and form materials according to drawings and specifications, ensuring parts meet quality and dimensional requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
This is a shop-floor, execution-focused role suited for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are comfortable working with machinery, reading drawings, and producing accurate, repeatable results in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components
- Load tooling, dies, and materials and verify proper machine setup before operation
- Position and align materials to ensure accurate bends per drawings and specifications
- Monitor bending operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality
- Inspect completed parts using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Identify and resolve minor machine or material issues during production
- Perform routine tooling checks and basic maintenance
- Accurately record production data, scrap, and other required documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality, and production team members to meet production goals
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- General understanding of metalworking, bending, and tooling concepts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, bending, and reaching tasks
- Ability to read, write, and follow plant procedures written in English
