The Culinary Service Cook prepares, serves, and/or is responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests and employees. With direction from the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, the cook increases residents' acceptance and compliance especially among those with therapeutic diet orders.

Prepare and serve food for residents, guests, and employees in a healthcare setting.

Follow directions from the Culinary Services Director and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.

Ensure compliance with therapeutic diet orders and increase residents’ acceptance of meals.

• A desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Must be able to follow directions, cooperate with co‑workers, and perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with residents, families and staff and follow supervisor instructions.

• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community.
