Job Description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Phlebotomist.

Position: Phlebotomist

Position type: Full time Contract

Location: Faribault, MN

Duration: 2+ months

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare the specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
• Perform verification of patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post‑venipuncture, to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.

• High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Pay Range: $21 - $25.00 per hour.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
