WHY DO WE NEED YOU? The Process Engineer II is a key owner of a production process block. They are responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity performance of the process area. This process block is a critical step in our manufacturing system, and requires a dependable Process Engineer who will ensure continued uptime and quality product throughput.

This process block is a critical step in our manufacturing system, and requires a dependable Process Engineer who will ensure continued uptime and quality product throughput. The Process Engineer II will interface with Production, Quality, Process Development, and Maintenance teams, as well as external vendors in order to sustain and improve the production area.
They will be measured against production goals, and be responsible for the health of the process block. The Process Engineer II will understand and work with automated assembly equipment and inspection tools, and support a technical production team. This Engineer will also act as a back-up for other Engineers in neighboring process blocks.

As a Process Owner, the Process Engineer II will define and maintain the process to safely deliver a consistent quality product. - As an Equipment Owner, the Process Engineer II will monitor the health of the equipment, define its upkeep, and respond to its excursions. As a Process Representative, the Process Engineer II will regularly report on the successes and failures of the production system, and define boundaries on allowable excursions.
- As a Point of Contact, the Process Engineer II will serve as an expert on their process technology, and own issue response and escalation when Safety, Quality, or Productivity excursions occur.
- As a Driver of Continuous Improvement, the Process Engineer II will implement and manage change to improve stability and consistency.
- Interface with Production, Quality, Process Development and Maintenance teams; coordinate with external vendors as needed to sustain and improve the production area.
- Understand and work with automated assembly equipment and inspection tools; support a technical production team.
- Act as back-up for other Engineers in neighboring process blocks.
- Ensure safety, quality and productivity performance of the process block; drive uptime and quality throughput.
- BS in Engineering or related STEM field.
- 5 years of experience in a production environment including equipment and process implementation.
- Experience in high-tech manufacturing (glass, semiconductor, PV, automotive) is ideal.
- Experience with glass handling and technologies.
- Experience with automated equipment.
- Statistical, Lean, or Six-Sigma qualifications.
- Project management and Leadership qualifications preferred.
- Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
