Job Description & How to Apply Below

As a Test Engineering Technician
, this role will support an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team by building, validating, and maintaining electrical test equipment. You’ll work closely with Engineers to bring new test systems online, integrate inline testing, and ensure that test equipment is accurate, safe, and reliable.

This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, validating, and improving test fixtures—not testing finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble new electrical test fixtures and stations using engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Validate test equipment through Gage R&R, repeatability checks, calibration activities, and documentation of validation results.
  • Troubleshoot test equipment performance issues, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, DAQ, or PLC-related faults.
  • Support implementation of inline testing to identify product issues earlier in the build process and minimize end of line defects.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including test setup instructions, calibration logs, build notes, and equipment modifications.
  • Collaborate directly with Test Engineers to execute test system concepts, integrate PLC and data acquisition capabilities, and improve reliability.
  • Maintain and update existing test stations, performing repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience building, wiring, or troubleshooting electrical test equipment or fixtures.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, one‑lines, ladder logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Understanding of electrical circuits, test sequencing, and measurement fundamentals.
  • Ability to distinguish between test system failures and product failures during troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Gage R&R, calibration procedures, and test equipment validation.
  • Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, or data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with UL/ETL/CSA testing environments (training provided).
