Summer STEAM Bilingual Program Facilitator (4 positions – 2 at each site)
Job DescriptionThis position will provide cultural and Spanish or Somali language assistance for Summer STEAM students in grades 1-8. Duties include verbal and written translation services, direct interaction with students and families, and working in a team of administrators and staff. This position will also play a major role in our attendance plan, which involves pulling daily attendance reports, reaching out to families when there are attendance concerns, and tracking this data on a spreadsheet.
Other duties as assigned.
Summer STEAM will run from June 22 through July 30, 2026, Monday - Thursday. On June 19, there will be no Summer STEAM. There may be additional paid opportunities for staff interested in working bus supervision, family engagement events, and at the end of the program to assist with the pack up of Summer STEAM materials. There will be some required training dates for staff during the week of June 15, which will be communicated to all hired staff once details are finalized.
This position serves the Elementary program (grades 1-4) or Middle School program (grades 5-8) from 7:30am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The pay rate is $25.32/hour. Applicants who are available for the entirety of the program will be considered first.
- Fluency in written and verbal communication in Spanish or Somali.
- Experience working with families and youth.
