Job Description
As a shop mechanic, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and make advanced repairs on equipment that is between rentals or hitting service hours between routine repairs. The fleet primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment, with some locations featuring large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
- Diagnose and make advanced repairs at the shop.
- Handle equipment in between rentals and those hitting service hours.
- Work with aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment.
- Specialize in handling large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment at specialty line locations.
- Proficiency in electrical testing and rewiring machines, battery replacement, and motor repair/swap.
- Expertise in hydraulics, including crimping and making hoses, and o-ring/seal replacement.
- Strong mechanical skills for performing fluid changes after a certain amount of usage.
- Experience in troubleshooting, heavy equipment maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to conduct maintenance as a diesel mechanic and maintenance technician.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in welding and repairing electrical motors.
- Proficient in using a basic set of mechanics tools (wrenches, sockets, hand tools, electrical testing equipment).

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a shop setting but will occasionally need to go outside to manage and move equipment. Expect to work 50-60 hours per week during the summer and 40-50 hours in the winter. Uniforms are provided, and you should have your own set of basic mechanic tools.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
