Mechanical & Robotics Technician
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Robotics Technician responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment, including conveyors. The role requires conducting preventative maintenance routines, documenting procedures, and performing battery changes and maintenance. Technicians will also enter downtime data in daily logs, complete preventive maintenance sheets, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Responsibilities- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
- Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
- Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.
- Apply electrical knowledge to understand basic components.
- Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
- Track and store departmental inventory, including spare parts.
- At least 2+ years of experience in conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Experience in maintenance technician roles with skills in mechanical, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in industries such as Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Industrial, focusing on complex systems and equipment.
- Secondary preference for experience from Automotive, Military, or Industrial Facilities Maintenance industries.
- An associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands‑on training related to the maintenance field is preferred.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large distribution facility equipped with high‑speed automation and robotic components. The role requires walking up to 10,000 steps per day. Candidates must be open to working any 10‑hour shift, with shifts available for all hours, including days, nights, and mids. Shifts typically start at 7 a.m. or 7 p.m. and range from 10 to 12 hours, depending on business needs.
Performance is tracked through a data system to ensure expectations are met, but there is no micromanagement.
This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
