Industrial Maintenance Technician Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation and reliability of manufacturing and production equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Repair and replace motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and other components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals
- Perform basic electrical work including troubleshooting 3‑phase systems, motors, VFDs, and control circuits
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning
- Maintain maintenance records and follow work order procedures
- Adhere to all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant standards
- Support production by responding quickly to equipment downtime
- Previous experience as an industrial maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills required
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read prints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Welding or fabrication experience (MIG/TIG/stick)
- CMRT or similar maintenance certification
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces as needed
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and industrial environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
