Northwest Truck & Trailer is seeking a Parts Counter Sales professional to join our team.
Hours are 8am-5pm, pay is $20.00/hr + commission.

This role requires an H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year experience in the heavy truck parts industry and/or sales. Must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, basic computer skills; and must pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.

Job Summary

The Parts Counter Sales position performs a variety of customer service, marketing, promoting, and advertising duties related to the sale and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealership’s parts department. This position is responsible for ongoing responsibilities for assisting with the phone parts sales and customer service duties.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum one year experience in heavy truck parts industry and/or sales.

  • Strong commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
  • Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales.
  • Answer sales inquiries by phone and in person for customers by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain and follow up on orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential new accounts.
  • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
  • Verify receiving shipments by checking orders against packing lists.
  • Assist in keeping parts clean and the shelf section area stocked and orderly.
  • Follow up on shortages and expedite through reporting to the parts manager.
  • Supply service technicians with parts as requested.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable).
  • Perform heavy lifting of equipment parts and tools as required from time to time.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workflow in the department.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out and completed accordingly.
  • Follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Interact effectively with co‑workers.
  • Work independently as well as be a team player with the department.
  • Understand and comply with posted rules and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Adhere to the work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
  • Perform Wallwork Inc.‑wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
  • Uphold ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
