Cass County is looking for Temporary Vector Field Aides
—and this could be your perfect seasonal opportunity this upcoming summer!

• High school diploma or better
• 18+ years old
• Physical ability to lift 40+ lbs

Preferred (
not required
): experience with ATV/UTV riding, pesticide handling/applying, spray equipment operation, insect research, separating and identifying different adult mosquito species, and sampling standing water. This is an entry‑level seasonal position—we're willing to train the right candidate!

• Work: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Most weeks run Monday–Thursday (hello, 3-day weekends!), with occasional Fridays when mosquito conditions demand extra attention.
• Sample standing water for mosquito larvae
• Apply pesticides in varied environments
• Operate trucks, ATVs, and UTVs for applications
• Separate and identify mosquito species from traps
• Maintain records and equipment
